Our desire at Centsible Wife is to help women live intentionally and simply, while spending less; leaving more time and money to pursue their passions. Kelsey and Caylin have been friends for almost 30 years and have experienced all of life’s greatest adventures and lowest of lows together. They have found their greatest passion through traveling to Uganda, Africa together, and establishing their fair trade jewelry business Under the Tree. Under the Tree employs fifty-five women, this income means dignity, self-respect, food, housing, and education for their children.
Hi, I’m Caylin! I’m a woman of many hats, as the saying goes. I’m a wife, a mom, an EMT, a village trustee, a library board member, a tutor, a piano teacher, fair trade business owner, and natural minded homemaker. Needless to say, the only way to juggle all these commitments and maintain my sanity is to keep our home as calm and non-chaotic. This is a daily struggle, but I know I’m doing better now than I have ever before, and I have faith that next year it’ll be even better! I’m here to share what truly works for me and my family, because if it only kind of works, I’m doomed. Thank you for taking life’s journey with us, here on Centsible Wife.
Hello friends! I’m Kelsey…I’m a wife, new mama, mental health therapist, lover of all things Africa and most importantly, a Christ follower! My favorite things include cuddling my daughter, sleeping in, drinking coffee, eating dessert for breakfast, and dreaming up future plans. I wasn’t always a dreamer but my friends in Uganda have challenged me, and for that I am forever indebted! They have taught me to dream and to dream big. They have taught me to face my fears head on, while allowing God to guide. Because of these dear friends, I have found the courage to start a blog and not let fear of failure control me. My hope is that through Centsible Wife, we can encourage you to dream and step outside of your comfort zone as well!
